Classroom Novel:
We will be reading The Jaguar Stones: Middleworld by J&P Voelkel. It is a modern-day ancient Maya mystery. Packed with adventure and tons of information, this novel will keep your child guessing until the end! It is also part of a 4-book series. You are not required to purchase this for your child, but if you'd like for him/her to have a copy to themselves, novels are available through request at the library, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Half Price Books, and most book vendors.

Do you have old smart phones gathering dust?
We use virtual reality in our classrooms to take field trips to the places we can't actually visit. Students will experience Machu Picchu, the Rocky Mountains, ancient Maya ruins, and other locations. If you have old smart phones, I would use them as wireless devices ONLY and connect them to be virtual reality viewers. Email Ms. Middleman with any questions.
